Working On A New Book And Store Updates

Hello My Creative Thinkers, Summertime is finally here, and it's time for significant shop updates. I'm uploading some SALE products to the shops within the next two weeks, so look for some items you may have seen before but for a new lower price. Work on the new book project is in full bloom. This project is my very first solo project, and the project is enormous. It's a documentation of 22 years of my practice, and I can't believe it's been that long. I'm proud of the progress and excited for the project to be released late this year. I'm so happy you all have been enjoying the digital products added to the stores, and I look forward to adding more intellectual property this year. The releases will be rolling out slowly every month, so please keep checking back on the shops. SAJATA-E Design Studio Covid 19 Updates

Hello My Creative Thinkers, Good News, due to the changes in the Covid-19 restrictions in New York City, SAJATA-E Design Studios can finally re-open for in-store shopping. We are located in the Kreate Hub building at 15 Canal Place, and our retail studio is #204C. As we stock up on our spring items, you can come into our studio and purchase some of our Winter products. Please make an appointment for studio shopping. We are still checking temperatures at the door due to Covid-19. Thank you so much for all your support over the years.

SAJATA-E DESIGN STUDIOS LLC and What That Means...

Our little company has hit a significant milestone this year. This process has been long and well overdue, but we have finally become a Limited Liability Company! That's right, we have incorporated. Why is this significant? In 2000, this company started out as a micro-business with a small $1000 grant from the Trickle-Up program to develop small businesses in the South Bronx. It's been 22 years, and we are still standing! This is rear for a small business in New York, and I am a woman of color who thought of the idea of creating a participatory product-based social practice that reinvests 40% -50% back into the community that supports the company to combat urban poverty. By remaining small while creating ripples in the fiber supply chain, we have been able to work with some fantastic people who help us in the mission to "Help Ourselves."
